Sumalatha in the film is working as a teacher in a convent school in Ooty and Nadumudi Venu, one of her colleagues. He feels an affection towards her.
In her class there was a disobedient student, the child of a rich man (Prem Nazir) who is very worried about the future of his mother-less child and has been spending all his wealth to create a good future in him but only to fail . But Sumalatha manages to turn him into an obedient child. The story experiences a twist when the millionaire asks Sumalatha to be his child's mother. It was upto her to decide ............
