Artham is the story of a person named Narendran ( Mammotty ) who has had enough of his life and no longer wishes to continue it . But in a rather dramatic way he meets Jinu ( Jayaram ) who was also on his way to commit suicide after killing one of the persons responsible for the pathetic condition of his life . Narendran takes up the cause for Jinu and goes to the prison . The story takes a twist after the unusual death of his dear friend Jinu followed by Narendran winning a prestigious award for a book written by him . Our hero then comes out of the jail for a temporary period and starts his investigation to find out the culprits behind the murder of Jinu with the time given to him to saty outside prison passing by .

The film has just one song sung by Dr. KJ Yesudas . The same song sung by Smt. KS Chitra is also attached . Hope you enjoy the new part of this blog containing old and middle aged songs !!!!
